Opportunities for Giving

For more than 230 years, Haddonfield Friends School continues to fill a community need as it “prepares joyful and inquisitive young minds to carry the light of authentic leadership, creative problem solving, and innovation in a diverse community of learners.” An HFS education makes a profound difference in the lives of our students, families, and the broader community.

Tuition covers many of the basics at the school, but as with most independent schools, HFS depends on contributions and endowment income to pay the actual cost of educating students. Contributions to HFS, large and small, make a difference every day – supporting new enrichment programs and equipment that directly benefit the students’ learning experiences, providing financial aid to give more families and children the opportunity to learn at HFS, and teaching timeless Quaker values to new generations of HFS students.

Bequest: A gift of cash or property given upon a donor’s death; a bequest is a beneficial way to support the school, reduce estate taxes, and prevent erosion of one’s estate.
Charitable Remainder Trust: A trust account designed to pay income to the donor or other beneficiary for a number of years or a lifetime, after which the remaining assets are distributed to the school; allows the donor to gain immediate tax benefits without loss of disposable income.
