Early Childhood Teacher – Full Time
Salary range: $42,000-$50,000.
Haddonfield Friends School is seeking qualified candidates for an early childhood teacher position in our 3- or 4- year- old programs beginning September 2026. The qualified applicant will have an understanding of and strong affinity for Quaker philosophy, and will work collaboratively with colleagues. Strong candidates will bring:
● 1-3 years lead teaching experience in early childhood classrooms
● A genuine understanding of child development and respectful behavior management techniques
● A rich repertoire of teaching strategies to address a variety of learning styles and needs
● Openness to collaboration and planning with the colleagues across grade levels
● Strong communication skills with colleagues, parents, and students
● Ability to teach to the whole child, including enthusiasm for inquiry and project-based learning
● Patience, along with a genuine understanding of child development and respectful behavior management strategies
● Commitment to continuous professional learning, including understanding and application of current research
● A commitment to health and safety best practices, including the ability to gently and effectively maintain safety guidelines and protocols

Middle School Humanities Teacher - Full Time
Salary range: $50,000 – $56,000
Haddonfield Friends School is seeking a full-time Middle School Humanities teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include teaching an integrated Literacy and Social Studies curriculum for 7th and 8th grade students. The qualified teacher will have an understanding of and strong affinity for Quaker philosophy, and will work collaboratively with colleagues.
Strong candidates will bring:
- 3+ years teaching experience in the Middle School classroom
- An in-depth knowledge of history and literacy skills as taught at the MS level
- A collaborative and reflective approach to teaching and learning
- A genuine understanding of adolescent development and respectful, restorative behavior management
- Experience developing a conceptual curriculum
- A rich repertoire of teaching strategies to address a variety of learning styles and needs
- Strong communication skills
- Strong technology skills and experience with technology integration in the classroom
- A commitment to continuous professional learning, including understanding and application of current research
- An ability to meet varied demands with integrity, enthusiasm, creativity, flexibility, and humor

K–8 Spanish Teacher
Haddonfield Friends School seeks a passionate, creative, and student-centered Spanish teacher to inspire a love of language and culture in students from Kindergarten through Grade 8. Grounded in Quaker values, the Spanish teacher fosters curiosity, empathy, global citizenship, and meaningful communication through immersive, proficiency-based language instruction. The ideal candidate understands that language learning is not only about acquiring vocabulary and grammar, but also about developing cultural understanding, confidence, and connections with others.
Salary Range: $50,000-$56,000

Responsibilities
- Teach Spanish to students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 using a proficiency-based, communicative approach.
- Conduct instruction primarily in Spanish, providing students with rich, comprehensible target-language input and meaningful opportunities for communication.
- Design engaging lessons that develop students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through authentic language use across all grade levels.
- Prepare middle school students with the skills required for continued high school Spanish learning: vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, writing
- Integrate cultural exploration and global perspectives throughout the curriculum.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the developmental needs, learning profiles, and language proficiency levels of diverse learners.
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student growth and inform instruction.
- Foster a classroom environment where students feel safe taking risks and developing confidence as language learners.
- Build strong, caring relationships with students and support their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Encourage student voice, creativity, collaboration, and self-reflection.
- Support students in developing resilience, empathy, and a growth mindset.
- Support students in becoming thoughtful, compassionate, and engaged members of their local and global communities.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and learning experiences.
- Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Engage in ongoing professional growth related to language acquisition, culturally responsive teaching, and best practices in education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, World Languages, or related foreign language field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Experience teaching Spanish to elementary and/or middle school students.
- Knowledge of second-language acquisition and proficiency-based instructional practices.
- Demonstrated commitment to student-centered, inclusive, and culturally responsive teaching.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

Haddonfield Friends School is seeking a Middle School Science teacher for the 26-27 school year. Responsibilities include teaching the 7th and 8th grade Science curriculum, including related lab experiments and oversight of the Coriell Science Fair. The qualified teacher will be a reflective practitioner with an understanding of and strong affinity for Quaker philosophy, a strong desire to engage in lifelong learning, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues as part of the Middle School Team.
Salary information: $51,000- 58,000
Strong candidates will bring:
- 2-4 years teaching experience in the Middle School classroom
- Genuine understanding of adolescent development and respectful behavior management
- In-depth knowledge of science concepts and skills, the scientific method, and safe laboratory practices to support curriculum taught at this level
- Willingness to collaborate with a team and co-teach as needed
- Rich repertoire of teaching strategies to address a variety of learning styles and needs
- Understanding of how to build relationships with students from a positive and strengths-based perspective
- Strong understanding of formative and summative assessment practices
- Solid communication skills – willingness to communicate with parents weekly
- Strong technology skills and experience with technology integration in the classroom and use of varied platforms in virtual learning
- Commitment to continuous professional learning and reflective discussion around practice, including understanding and application of current research

Extended Day Staff
Extended Day staff members needed for a PreK through 8th grade Quaker school. Interested candidates should enjoy working with children of a variety of ages; possess good communication skills; demonstrate strong leadership/classroom management techniques; model problem solving and peer mediation techniques; initiate and supervise outdoor activities and creative projects; be reliable and prompt. Guaranteed 12-15 hours per week.
Experience working with children is necessary; college degree or degree candidate is preferred but not required.
