We are excited to announce that HFS has been awarded a New Jersey Historic Trust Capital Grant! While we have been working hard to keep our children safe and in school we also have been pouring weeks of work into phase II of our New Jersey Historical Trust Grant! We will be receiving a $725,000 matching grant, which will be used to make critical structural and infrastructure renovations over the next two years. It is the largest grant ever received by HFS to restore and rehabilitate our historic property, including space utilization, HVAC upgrades, barrier-free accessibility, and much-needed infrastructure improvements to our school (roofing, brickwork, frontage/drainage, HVAC, accessibility. virus future-proofing, etc) as needed to continue the use of the original schoolhouse built in 1786 and 1853. This grant will be another way to ensure that our children’s children will have HFS available to them as well!

Now, we need your help! We are calling upon faculty, parents, alumni, friends, and the wider community to donate and help us raise the matching funds to support this amazing grant opportunity. While any size gift is important, we encourage you to be as generous as possible to the Grant Match campaign. Your contributions will enable us to realize our mission to prepare joyful and inquisitive young minds to carry the light of confidence, creativity, critical thinking, and stewardship in a diverse community of learners.
